Same Day Dental Implants

Dental implants fix “unfixable” problems:  a tooth that is too decayed to repair, tooth pulp that has died due to a crack in the tooth, and so on.  Dental implants are a permanent solution to a bridge that often lasts only five to seven years.  Thoughts of an implant bring notions of numerous visits to the dentist’s office over the course of months, multiple X-rays, gum incisions and suturing, drilling and more.  Fortunately the process has been vastly changed so that you can receive dental implants in one day! Dr. Maddahi‘s Beverly Hills Cosmetic Dentistry office, through the use of the most advanced imaging equipment on the market, has turned the dental implant experience completely around.  Your initial consultation will include a series of X-rays using the Cone Beam CT machine which is completed in as little as 15 seconds. Two weeks later you will return for your implant.

This unique low-radiation X-ray machine allows Dr. Maddahi to make a three-dimensional model of your face and underlying bone structure within minutes.  He can see the sinuses, nerves and small channels through the bone. This allows him to prepare that implant so that it avoids such structures.  The Cone Beam CT machine also allows a visualization of the bone density, which is important since people who have lost some bone mass may not have the density necessary to support the implant. Bone loss may occur when teeth are lost to periodontal disease or injury. The absence of teeth in the jaw causes the bone to be absorbed back into the body.  Knowing this prior to the implant allows both the dentist and patient plenty of time to discuss the various options for bone grafting.  Another problem that can be determined by the Cone Beam CT machine is the need for a sinus lift. A sinus lift may be necessary if the sinuses are too close to the jaw for the implant or if there is not enough bone in the upper jaw to support an implant.

When you return for your implant two weeks later, the dental team is ready with a stent that will allow Dr. Maddahi to guide the placement of the implant. The stent is prepared in the laboratory on the model rather than on you, reducing your chair time.  Under local anesthesia, the titanium post, similar to a screw, is inserted into the jaw bone and the a permanent or temporary crown is placed on the post. You will leave the office with a perfect smile! If needed, you will return a month or so later and the permanent crown will be attached.

What Our Clients
Have To Say...

I visited Dr. Maddahi for the first time upon recommendation of some of his clients. The experience was even better than expected. May I say 'I enjoyed going to the dentist!' His highly communicative approach, including gentleness, friendliness, sense of ease, and mastery were what I have always thought a practitioner could have. Dr. Maddahi does. I recommend him to anyone. ”
