We recommend brushing after every meal.  At minimum, you should brush twice a day.  For the times you don’t have a toothbrush available, chew a piece of sugarless gum for five minutes.
However, brushing three times a day is best.

Deep cleaning is only necessary if there is gum disease.  Once gum disease is arrested, then cleaning should be done every three months for maintenance versus having a deep cleaning when you have gum disease.

While translucent teeth can be whitened; often the results are not that dramatic.  In some cases bleaching increases the translucency.

Either treatment can be done if there is enough tooth structure and the dental bite is OK.  With new dental bonding agents, veneers will adhere to the teeth very well.
