The Teeth Whitening process

Many patients are great candidates for teeth whitening. However, for some patients, whitening is not as effective. That is why it is best to have a dental professional complete a full evaluation including an oral examination and a color assessment of the teeth to determine if you are a candidate. We also suggest having your teeth cleaned before the whitening procedure, for the best results.
At our office we feature the Zoom! Teeth Whitening. This bleaching process works using a light-activated bleaching gel to treat the discolored enamel and dentin. During the treatment, a whitening gel containing Hydrogen Peroxide is applied to the teeth. As the gel breaks down, oxygen penetrates the dentin and enamel of the teeth removing discoloration. In about an hour, the patient has a new, whiter smile.
