When Choosing a Dental Implant Dentist, Look for Experience and Cutting-Edge Technology

It seems like there is a sale everywhere we turn today, even on dental procedures. But, just because something is discounted doesn’t mean it is a good value. Many patients have questions regarding dental implant procedure. If all procedures are approved by the ADA and FDA, aren’t they the same no matter the cost? Does dental experience and state-of-the-art technology factor into the overall quality of a dental implant?
Dr. Kourosh Maddahi, who specializes in implant dentistry in Beverly Hills, hears questions like these all the time. He advises his dental implant patients to compare not only the cost of the procedure, but also the types of materials used, the dental team’s experience and the overall results.
Dr. Maddahi spends close to thirty percent of his time revising dental implant procedures that were not done correctly by other dentists. Because of this, he has come up with the following recommendations to consider before having a dental implant procedure. Start by researching and choosing the best dental team available. Select a dental office that has had extensive implant training and uses only the top quality materials and up-to-date technology. For example, Dr. Maddahi’s office recently added the Galileos Implant technology by Sirona, the state-of-the-art system allows for same-day dental implant procedures. Also, be sure that you are comfortable and communicate well with the doctor and their team. Ask to see before and after pictures of their work and to speak with former patients.
Avoid offices that use inferior implant devices or lower quality dental materials. In some offices, substandard training and inexperience can lead to poorly placed dental implants, which can result in dental infections, discomfort and pain for the patient.
With some simple research and education, your dental implant procedure can be successful giving you the priceless gift of a beautiful smile. Contact Dr. Maddahi’s office for more information on dental implant procedures or to schedule a complimentary dental evaluation.

Dear Dr. Maddhi,
I am a a disabled person on Medi Cal, so I know you do not see people like myself in your practice. but I was so moved by the recent story I saw on the news about the painless laser treatment for tooth repair, I just had to write. Years ago, I had a painful visit with a dentist who broke a drill bit in a tooth. I have never again visited a dentist, with the expected results. If I could find a dentist that accepted medi cCal that availed himself of the laser technique I saw demonstated, i could get over my long time aversion. I just wanted to thank you for giving me at least a little hope. With things the way they are, and the problems I have, I am unlikely to get adequate help. But at least you let me know there might bea way for me, if I can find it.
