Will I need new veneers?

One of the reasons why people change their veneers is that the gums recede and the roots are showing. For example, when they smile, their roots show as well. In those cases, we replace the veneers and make them longer ones to cover up the root portion of the tooth. That way the smile looks nice. However, there are some people that when they smile, their roots don’t show at all. The lip line doesn’t go high enough to show the roots. So, even if you have little bit of gum recession, it will not necessarily mean that you would have to replace the veneers.
