Yes, you can have an infection in your mouth, like gum disease, and the resources of the body being used to fight disease can become lethargic. The infection in the mouth can also infect the heart and cause rheumatic fever. It’s quite possible you may be sick because infections in the mouth, but it may not be the only reason.
