What causes oral cancer?

There are several factors that cause oral cancer. The three main ones are alcohol, smoking and chewing tobacco. Alcohol causes the tissue in the mouth to start to change, the tissue can become pre-cancerous and then cancerous. Smoking and chewing tobacco can cause cancer in the mouth. In addition, there can be some genetic factors involved.
