Usually, I recommend that a child has their first dental appointment at the age of two. This is when all of the primary teeth are out. At this age it is good to just go in, not particularly for any cavities, but just to be sure that you are taking your child to the dentist at a time when there are no problems. That way they don’t always think that going to the dentist is about drilling or shots.
