Will the tooth last after the pulp has been removed and it has been restored?

After a root canal, the back teeth can become brittle which is why the teeth need to be protected with a crown. However, there is no change to a tooth on which a root canal has been performed unless it is re-infected. If re-infection does occur than the root canal may need to be redone. This is why to insure the lowest rate of re-infection, root canals should be done by a specialist.
