Blocked sinuses can lead to poor dental health
Oct 7th, 2008 by Dr. Kourosh Maddahi DDS
Swelling in the nose can cause blockage of the sinus outlet and fluid builds up in there. And when the sinus fills up with fluid, bacteria can grow in that fluid, because it’s warm, dark, and moist. The problem usually starts with the nose being blocked up and this is usually caused by nasal and breathing allergies.
It is important to avoid this problem because continued nasal and sinus problems can lead to poor dental development and tooth pain.
