A lot of infections and ailments have arisen due to poor dental hygiene. When plaque builds up on the teeth, bacterial growth is exponential and an infection occurs which may travel through the circulatory system and affect the entire body with several diseases like diabetes, cancer, and cardiac diseases.
Some tips for caring for your teeth include:
- Brush with a dry bristled toothbrush first to effectively remove tartar from the teeth. Contrary to popular belief, it is not the toothpaste that eradicates the microorganism but the brushing of teeth manually.
- Rinse your mouth with a folic acid containing mouth wash for at least a minute. It is quite effective in providing relief from gum disease characterized by swollen sore gums. Using folic acid makes cells grow faster to decrease the chances of bleeding.
