Why use an Electric Toothbrush?

If you are able to brush your teeth as thoroughly as possible, in at least a couple of minutes, then you have no need for an electric powered toothbrush. But since on average, the two minutes allotted for tooth brushing is not followed, this means that a lot of plaque is still left on the tooth ready to start tooth decay.  Brushing teeth manually means around 300 strokes in a minute but using an electric toothbrush, it can produce around 50,000 strokes in just a minute.
