Why Flossing Daily is so Important
May 29th, 2009 by Dr. Kourosh Maddahi DDS
Many people think that brushing twice a day is doing enough to maintain good oral hygiene. They don’t realize the many health benefits that flossing provides. When flossing is done daily you not only prevent tooth decay, but you also prevent gum disease and bad breath. It has been found that when food particles are left in the mouth bacteria forms and begins to feed off of the decaying food. This can lead to gum inflammation and other serious dental issues. So, add flossing into your daily dental care routine.
