Why do teeth become discolored?

Submitted by Dr. Kourosh Mad... on Wed, 06/03/2009 - 16:53
Teeth can become discolored for many reasons.  Some reasons can include consuming staining liquids or foods like coffee, cola, tea, red wine or red sauces.  Aging can cause teeth to become discolored, as can smoking.  When teeth are being formed, the ingestion of certain antibiotics like tetracycline or excessive amounts of fluoride also can cause stains. What Our Clients
Have To Say...

I visited Dr. Maddahi for the first time upon recommendation of some of his clients. The experience was even better than expected. May I say 'I enjoyed going to the dentist!' His highly communicative approach, including gentleness, friendliness, sense of ease, and mastery were what I have always thought a practitioner could have. Dr. Maddahi does. I recommend him to anyone. ”
