The pain associated with a dental local anesthetic is often due to how fast the numbing solution is administered.
We use a device called The Wand that utilizes a micro compressor so the speed of the injection is regulated. The patient initially feels some pressure, but there is no pain. The Wand also allows us to limit the anesthetic to the tooth or area that we are working on so it is more comfortable for the patient.
