A new Beverly Hills Smile starts with a Smile Evaluation

A national survey done by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, found that nearly all adults, some 99.7 percent, considered a smile was an important social asset. In addition 74 percent of adults thought that an unattractive smile could hurt a person’s chance for career success.
According to Dr. Koroush Maddahi, one of the top Cosmetic Dentists in Beverly Hills, creating a beautiful smile for a patient many times not only helps address any dental issues they may have, but it also increases a patient’s self esteem and confidence.
When cosmetic dentists, like Dr. Maddahi, evaluate a patient’s smile, they look at many aspects of a patient’s teeth and gums. Common questions include: Does the patients have discolored, misshapen, cracked, chipped, worn or crooked teeth. Do they have a gummy smile or are their gums receding? Or are there gaps between their teeth? All these dental aspects are considered during a Smile Evaluation appointment.
Dr. Maddahi then determines which procedures will help his patients achieve their best smile. For some that may be porcelain veneers or dental implants, others may benefit from having teeth whitening or periodontal treatments. With cosmetic, digital imaging, Dr. Maddahi is able to quickly show patients how each treatment will change their smile with personalized before and after images.
For me, a smile makeover started with dental bonding, to close a small gap between my front teeth, then a teeth-whitening treatment was done to brighten my smile. Dr. Maddahi also suggested that I have cosmetic re-contouring to address small dental imperfections and make my teeth look straighter. The result, in few hours my smile was transformed to a brighter, more beautiful smile with just a few small, painless changes.
