When improvements are made to the teeth using porcelain and other composite materials, the materials must be designed so they match the existing teeth in order to insure a natural-looking smile. The Shade Vision camera is used at Dr. Maddahi’s office to insure that dental restorations match the color of the natural teeth.
Digital images of the teeth are analyzed by the Shade Vision System to determine their hue and any color variations. This information is used as the porcelain restorations are being designed so they will match the patient’s teeth exactly. A dental restoration procedure is often done when a patient has a missing tooth and needs a crown or possibly a dental implant.
